The "Open Day" has already become a traditional event for contributors and recipients of the Unified Accumulative Pension Fund. However, due to the coronavirus infection (Covid-19) pandemic, it was impossible to meet with the contributors in the branches of the fund, and the staff of the ENPF moved it to the virtual space.
Each investor of the Fund had the opportunity to join the Open Doors Day using the online platform without leaving home or work place.
The theme of the event is "First installment - Welcome to the UAPF". Based on this, the target audience was about 1 million new investors of the fund, whose individual pension accounts were opened in automatic mode. Let us recall that from January 8, 2019, in accordance with the amendments made to the Law on Pension Provision of the Republic of Kazakhstan, an individual does not need to contact the UAPF service offices to open an individual retirement account (IPS) for accounting for mandatory pension contributions (OPV). The account is opened automatically upon receipt of the first installment. In this case, the identification of an individual is carried out according to personal data (full name, IIN, date of birth) specified in the electronic format of the payment order when transferring the OPV, and all the necessary information about the details of the current identity document of an individual about the place of permanent residence of the UAPF receives from information systems of state bodies. As a result, with the help of an automated process, 398,376 OPV accounts were opened in 2019, and this figure has grown by 1 million new accounts this year. In this case, a personal appeal to the Fund automatically becomes a way of obtaining information about the state of the IPS.
Each of those who joined the event received detailed advice from the UAPF specialists on all issues of interest, and also learned about various modern and operational methods of informing. For example, this is the official website enpf.kz or a mobile application for Android and IOS systems. In them, any depositor can get an extract from the IRS, see the current indicators of pension assets, the details of contracts and much more.
The event was held throughout the country with high attendance, each of the contributors was satisfied and satisfied with the answers to the questions asked about the pension system, and noted the creativity of the fund's employees in finding a new format for the "Open Day".
UAPF was created on August 22, 2013 on the basis of JSC “NPF“ GNPF ”. The founder and shareholder of the UAPF is the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan represented by the State Institution "Committee for State Property and Privatization" of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Trust management of UAPF pension assets is carried out by the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan. From January 1, 2016, the functions of developing proposals to improve the efficiency of pension assets management were transferred to the Council for the Management of the National Fund.
In accordance with the pension legislation, the UAPF attracts compulsory pension contributions, compulsory professional pension contributions, voluntary pension contributions, pension payments, individual accounting of pension savings and payments, provides the contributor (recipient) with information on the state of his pension savings (for more details see www.enpf.kz ).
