Now the procedure for opening a pension account in the Unified Pension Savings Fund is simplified and does not require the personal presence of the depositor. In accordance with the amendments made to the Law on Pension Provision of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in order to open an individual retirement account (IPA) for accounting for mandatory pension contributions (OPV), an individual does not need to contact the UAPF service offices in order to complete an application for opening an IPC.
Recall that if an individual currently does not have an IPS in the UAPF, then it opens automatically when the first installment is received. In this case, the identification of an individual is carried out according to personal data (full name, IIN, date of birth) specified in the electronic format of the payment order when transferring the OPV, and all the necessary information about the details of the current identity document of an individual about the place of permanent residence of the UAPF will be received from information systems of state bodies.
Thus, from January to May (inclusive) of the current year, automatically upon receipt of the first installment, over one million accounts were opened, or rather 1,075,220 IPS. This is nine times more than the accounts opened last year in 2019 for the same period, when 121,032 IPS were opened in the first five months.
It is worth noting that when the IPS is automatically opened, the depositor is informed about the state of pension savings only with a personal appeal to the UAPF service offices. However, you can choose a more convenient method even without coming to the offices of the UAPF. It is enough just to register using an electronic digital signature on the fund's website, and control your savings in your personal account on the UAPF website itself (www.enpf.kz) or in the mobile application (ENPF). UAPF was established on August 22, 2013 on the basis of APF GNPF JSC. The founder and shareholder of the UAPF is the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan represented by the State Institution "Committee for State Property and Privatization" of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Trust management of UAPF pension assets is carried out by the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan. From January 1, 2016, the functions of developing proposals to improve the efficiency of pension assets management were transferred to the Council for the Management of the National Fund. In accordance with the pension legislation, the UAPF attracts compulsory pension contributions, compulsory professional pension contributions, voluntary pension contributions, pension payments, individual accounting of pension savings and payments, provides the contributor (recipient) with information on the state of his pension savings (for more details see www.enpf.kz )
