Apply for your pension on time

In the life of every person comes the "golden autumn" - the time of contemplation and well-deserved rest. Many are looking forward to this day with impatience, but there are also those who, in their everyday worries, forget about this day or postpone the trip to apply for a pension “for later”. Why it is necessary to do this in a timely manner, we learned from the director (name of the branch) of JSC "Unified accumulative pension fund" (name and surname of the director of the branch).

- (Name and patronymic of the director of the branch), when and where should a person who has reached retirement age apply?

- In connection with reaching the statutory retirement age and retirement, recipients for the appointment of pension payments must contact the public service centers at their place of residence or through the e-government web portal using an EDS.

- Is it for payments only from the UAPF, or is it possible to apply for state pension payments?

- Previously, this was done by submitting two separate applications: people applied to the UAPF for payments of pension savings, and the PSC for the appointment of a state pension. But since October 2018, the so-called "composite" service has been introduced to submit a single application to the PSC for the appointment of old-age pension payments from the state budget and the UAPF.

- It is very convenient! When should you do it?

- You can submit an application and documents to the PSC for receiving a pension 10 calendar days before the day you reach retirement age.

This is especially important for receiving a state pension, since it is necessary to check the availability of work experience according to the submitted documents, and according to the legislation, the appointment of an old-age pension and a state basic pension payment is made from the date of application. The day of circulation is the day of registration of the application and the necessary documents in the State Corporation (PSC).

Let us recall that persons who have reached the generally established retirement age in our republic can receive an old-age pension: men - 63; women who have reached 59.5 years from January 1, 2020 (the retirement age of women increases annually until it reaches the age of men in 2027).

Also, persons with disabilities of the first and second groups can apply for pension payments to the UAPF, if the disability is established for an indefinite period, who have pension savings in the UAPF, formed from compulsory pension contributions and compulsory professional pension contributions.

- You mentioned people with disabilities of the first and second groups, do they also need to come to the PSC?

- Persons with disabilities of the first and second groups, if the disability is established indefinitely, for the purpose of payments, it is necessary to contact the units of the UAPF or submit an application through the UAPF website using an EDS. In PSCs, applications for payment from the UAPF due to the established disability of groups 1 and 2 are not accepted indefinitely.

- Let's say a person doesn't have much savings in the UAPF, can he get them at a time?

- Yes, this can be done if the amount of pension savings on the date of application does not exceed twelve times the minimum pension established by the law on the republican budget for the corresponding financial year. Since from 04/01/2020. the minimum pension is 40,441 tenge, then a one-time payment is made if there is an amount of pension savings on the individual pension account within 485,292 tenge.

- What are the statistics on payments today and have quarantine measures not affected them?

- Since the beginning of 2020, as of June 1, 2020, about 741.5 thousand payments were made from the UAPF in connection with the achievement of retirement age and the establishment of disability of the first and second groups for an unlimited amount of about 25 billion tenge.

Quarantine measures do not affect pension payments from the UAPF, since pension capital was formed throughout the entire labor activity, and payments are made strictly according to the established schedule for each recipient until the pension savings are exhausted.

During the state of emergency, along with others, the state revised such indicators as the value of the subsistence minimum, respectively, the size of the minimum monthly payment from the UAPF, which should not be lower than 54% of the subsistence income, increased from 16 838.82 tenge to 17 640.72 tenge.

- On this optimistic note, we conclude our interview. Thank!
