In 2019, employees of the Unified Accumulative Pension Fund established contacts with 675 thousand owners of inactive “sleeping” accounts. This category of accounts is not replenished for one year or more. Among them are self-employed, unemployed, as well as the category of citizens who temporarily does not deduct pension contributions - those who are on maternity leave for more than one year, students, trainees, interns, housewives, disabled people, military personnel, and convicts.
As part of the UAPF outreach, the depositors were informed of the importance of making mandatory pension contributions, according to the results of the work, 523 202 contributions totaling 4 billion tenge were received for 128 thousand individual pension accounts.
Thus, the UAPF continues to work with “sleeping” accounts and searches for depositors who have not replenished their accounts over the past years.
UAPF was established on August 22, 2013 on the basis of JSC NPF GNPF. The UAPF founder and shareholder is the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan represented by the State Institution “Committee of State Property and Privatization” of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan. UAPF pension assets are managed by the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Since January 1, 2016, the functions to develop proposals to improve the management of pension assets have been transferred to the National Fund Management Council. In accordance with the pension legislation, the UAPF attracts mandatory pension contributions, mandatory professional pension contributions, voluntary pension contributions, pension payments, individual accounting of pension savings and payments, provides the depositor (recipient) with information on the status of his pension savings (for more information visit www.enpf.kz )
