With the assistance of the Supreme Judicial Council a meeting with the members of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan has been held at the Academy of Justice

The Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Zhakip Asanov, Chairman of the Committee on Constitutional Legislation, Judicial System and Law Enforcement Agencies Nurlan Beknazarov, the members of the Committee, the Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council Dmitriy Malakhov, members of the Council, staff, Vice Rector of the Academy of Justice Kanat Musin and faculty of the Academy of Justice took part in the meeting.

D. Malakhov noted that the Supreme Judicial Council intensifies efforts to improve judicial education and to strengthen the status of the Academy of Justice. Currently, a draft concept for the development of the Academy of Justice has been developed.
"Since the transfer of the Academy to the Council, the institution has been undergoing a stage of qualitative changes. Effective measures are being taken to improve educational programs and to expand scientific research. One of the significant steps in the short term is the introduction of scientific and pedagogical master's and doctoral degrees, which will open up new prospects for further development of judicial qualifications," D. Malakhov said.

K. Musin presented a report on current activities and development prospects. The Academy has launched new initiatives aimed at modernizing the educational process and introducing innovative educational programs.

In his speech J. Asanov emphasized the positive dynamics in improving the quality of judicial training and, as a result, the increase in the number of judges who have successfully graduated from the Academy of Justice.

The senators noted a significant increase in interest in the Academy of Justice from applicants and the law society. This attention is evoked due to the fact that the authorized body is actively involved in improving judicial education, paying great attention to solving key issues in its development.

"The initiatives taken today by the Supreme Judicial Council to improve judicial education and the activities of the Academy as the only university for the training of judges in the country should have an impact on improving the quality of the judicial corps," N. Beknazarov emphasized.

Following the meeting, the parties confirmed the importance of further cooperation to strengthen the judicial system's human resources potential and to improve the quality of legal education in Kazakhstan.
