A regular meeting of the Supreme Judicial Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan has been held

During the meeting, the Supreme Judicial Council summed up the results of the announced competition for 207 vacancies of judges of district and equivalent courts, for which 237 candidates applied.

126 persons received recommendations for the positions of judges of district courts and equivalent courts, 98 of them are the lawyers who are recommended for the first time, 28 are the acting judges. Information on candidates recommended for the appointment on judicial positions was announced during the online broadcast of the Council meeting. Detailed information on recommended persons is posted on the Council's official website. 91 judges have been enlisted in the personnel reserve for the positions of chairman of the district and equivalent courts, chairman, chairmen of judicial boards and judges of the regional and equivalent courts, judges and chairmen of judicial boards of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The members of the Council agreed on the methodology for assessing the professional activities of judges presented by the Commission on the Quality of Justice under the Supreme Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The Council recommended 12 judges to be dismissed from their posts, 3 of them are - in connection with their resignation, 5 - at their own request, 1 - in connection with the entry into force of a court verdict, 3 - according to the decision of a Judicial Jury for committing a disciplinary offence.
