ENCOURAGING CITIZENS TO REPORT FACTS OF CORRUPTION

ENCOURAGING CITIZENS TO REPORT FACTS OF CORRUPTION

Since 2020, a new differentiated system has been introduced in the country to encourage citizens who have reported facts of corruption.
For corruption crimes, where the amount of a bribe or damage caused or the cost of the benefits or services provided does not exceed 1000 MCI, the amount of remuneration ranges from 30 to 100 MCI, depending on the category of the crime. If the amount of the bribe or damage caused or the cost of the benefits or services provided exceeds 1000 MCI, then the amount of remuneration will be 10 percent of the specified amount, but not more than 4,000 MCI.
Financial incentives for providing information or otherwise assisting in the identification, suppression, disclosure and investigation of corruption crimes are aimed at activating the civic position of the population in the fight against corruption.
It should be noted that the encouragement of citizens is carried out if the information provided by the person corresponds to reality or helped the competent authorities in identifying, suppressing, disclosing and investigating a corruption offense.
The protection of persons who have reported the fact of corruption is carried out in accordance with the provisions of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Combating Corruption", while the person who reported such cases is not only encouraged with money, but is also protected by the state. Information about such a person is a state secret.
We call on all citizens to "zero" tolerance for manifestations of corruption. And in case of a collision with them, report this to the Anti-Corruption Service for East Kazakhstan Region at 8 (7232) 29-88-88 or to the Call Center 1424.
Combating corruption is the duty of every citizen!
