Safety of children on the water!

Safety of children on the water!

Summer is coming soon – it's time for fun and carefree, especially for our children. Most families prefer to spend hot summer days relaxing in nature, on the beaches of reservoirs – lakes, rivers and seas. Adults and kids are happy to swim and sunbathe, breathe fresh air. However, water can be dangerous! First of all, you need to remember that children sometimes do not notice the danger and it is your duty to be responsible and observe safety precautions! Therefore, before traveling to a place of rest, you should study the following recommendations:

- take children only to places allowed for swimming and equipped with life-saving equipment;

- do not allow a child to swim without your supervision! Especially on mattresses or inflatable circles;

- let children go into the water only in a swimming vest or armbands;

- do not allow children to play games where participants hide under water or are "drowned". Such entertainment can end in tragedy;

- do not allow swimming behind buoys and diving in unknown places of the reservoir;

- monitor the time of the child's stay in the water to prevent hypothermia;

- do not forget about responsibility even during rest hours!;

- have a conversation with the children, you need to explain how important it is to observe safety precautions;

- never lose sight of the little ones.

A child of preschool and primary school age should always bathe under the supervision of adults. Older teenage children, if they go to the reservoir themselves, should swim only in specially designated places with a safe, proven bottom, in the absence of deep pits, strong currents, whirlpools or large waves. Many accidents occur precisely because of bathing in forbidden places.

Take care of yourself and your loved ones!
