Rules of the "safe campfire"

Almost no outdoor recreation is complete without a campfire. Fire in the forest is often vital: it warms, dries clothes, makes it possible to cook food or drink tea.

But not all vacationers are aware of the basic rules of fire safety in nature. What can we say about the skills of breeding and extinguishing a fire. To skillfully build a fire in the forest, you need to carefully choose the places where the fire is built and be sure to prepare the site.

Rules of the "safe campfire":

- in dry weather, light a fire only on sand or stone, along the banks of reservoirs, in clearings with green grass;

- remove all combustible items from the fire at a distance of more than a meter;

- keep several containers of water near the fire for emergency extinguishing;

- make a fire at a distance of at least three meters from the tents on the downwind side.

Take care that the forest is not damaged after your rest. When leaving the parking lot, eliminate the fire: fill it with water, throw wet earth and trample it. Dig up this area with them. After extinguishing the fire, do not leave immediately, wait 15-20 minutes. Only after making sure that everything is in order, you can leave.
