Flood safety measures

The time of spring warming is coming. It's still freezing in the morning, and it's already warm in the afternoon. Under the influence of sunlight and meltwater, the ice becomes weak at all. The time of the spring flood requires special caution. As a rule, ice on reservoirs melts intensively, forming gullies in the middle of the ice field.
It happens that early in the morning the ice has no edges, and after 2-3 hours it already breaks away from the coastal strip. Examples of past years indicate the need to be extremely careful and not to violate the established rules of behavior during the flood period. They are simple, and no doubt most people know them well.
It is necessary to remember and observe the basic safety rules:
- do not gather in large groups on the banks of rivers, reservoirs, bridges and crossings;
- do not ride on floating ice floes, as well as on rafts and boats before navigation opens;
- do not approach the ice jam site.
- do not leave children unattended.
