The biometric system for passing the law exam appeared in the Special Center of East Kazakhstan Region

In Ust-Kamenogorsk and Semey, a biometric system will be used when passing the theoretical examination for rights in a special training center

"Now in the special centers of Ust-Kamenogorsk and Semey, a biometric system will be used when passing the theoretical exam to obtain a driver's license. That is, a person will be identified by his face. This will prevent any fraudulent actions and reduce corruption risks," commented Ruslan Kibke, Deputy director of the branch of the State Corporation "Government for Citizens" in East Kazakhstan region.

Biometrics is a system for recognizing people by one or more physical features, in this case by comparing a person's face with his photo on a document. Before the start of the theoretical exam, the applicant passes an identity identification, where his photo is compared with the photo on the identity card. "During the exam period, the system performs automatic identification for reconciliation several more times. All this makes it possible to control the entire process of passing the exam, where there is not a single chance of passing the exam by third parties," the department added.

To get a driver's license, the applicant must pass two exams: theoretical and practical. The theoretical consists of 40 questions; to pass it, you need to give at least 32 correct answers. The practical exam consists of 12 tasks on the circuit. Everyone has the opportunity to take the exam up to 3 times: if it was not possible to pass the exam after three attempts, the next time you can come for the exam 6 months from the date of the last exam.

By the way, since the beginning of the year, 932 people have received a driver's license for the first time
