Fire safety rules for the operation of natural gas

Today this mixture is used as fuel for cars, gas stoves, heating boilers. The popularity of gas cylinders among the population is explained by the affordable price, ease of use and a completely objective guarantee of safety. Despite the fact that the delivery of gas for cylinders - unlike autonomous gasification – is not carried out, nevertheless, any volume of hydrocarbon gas necessary for economic needs can be easily purchased at specialized trading enterprises or gas stations.
It is not recommended to fill gas cylinders intended for household needs at gas stations. Technical butane, a cheaper substance, is used to refuel cars. This gas is optimal for cars, but it is not an option for gas stoves and heaters. The cylinders should be refilled at special enterprises. Then you can be sure that the purchased gas will be ideal for both conditions and tasks of use.
It is impossible to ignore the fact that liquefied gases are gases with the lowest explosive limits, at which a gas-air mixture capable of igniting is formed. Therefore, everyone who carries a faulty balloon to the apartment of a multi-storey building should know that he brought a bomb for himself and his neighbors. Uncontrolled gorenje liquefied gases in rooms or in open areas can cause a fire that is life-threatening and can lead to the destruction of buildings.
The Department of Emergency Situations of the Ulan district of the Emergency Department of the East Kazakhstan Region reminds that when handling gas cylinders, it is important to remember the Rules of fire safety.
It is not recommended to store gas cylinders in the kitchen, in apartments, living quarters, on evacuation routes, attics, basements, loggias and balconies. Gas cylinders (both spare and working) must be located outside the dwelling, in special outbuildings that are built of non-combustible materials.
For the safe operation of liquefied gas installations, it is necessary:
1. use only serviceable appliances and keep them clean; do not leave unattended, as well as lit gas appliances at night;
2.at the end of using gas appliances, close the taps on the appliance and the valve on the cylinder;
systematically ventilate the room;
4.do not tie ropes to gas pipelines, do not clutter the passage to cylinders and gas stoves;
do not use fire when leaks are detected, use only soap solution for this purpose;
do not purchase cylinders from passing cars, from private houses and random warehouses;
if a gas leak is detected during the installation of the cylinder or another malfunction is detected, then it is not allowed to place such a cylinder at the consumer;
when purchasing a cylinder, require a receipt or coupon with mandatory indication of the name of the gas farm, the number of the cylinder, the mass of the gas cylinder, the number of the car from which the cylinder was purchased.
