Fire safety rules during New Year's events

In order for the New Year's meeting not to be overshadowed by such a misfortune as a fire, the Emergency Department of the Ulan district reminds of the need to comply with fire safety rules during New Year's events.

Fire statistics show that it is during the New Year period that their peak growth occurs. During the New Year holidays, the number of fires and the number of deaths also increases.

It should be noted that most of these fires occur in the residential sector.

When installing a Christmas tree:

- the Christmas tree is installed on a stable stand, away from heating appliances.

- to light the Christmas tree, it is necessary to use only serviceable factory-made electric garlands.

- you can not decorate the Christmas tree with candles, cotton wool, paper and celluloid toys;

- do not light candles, sparklers on the Christmas tree and near it, and do not use firecrackers.

- it is strictly forbidden to use pyrotechnic devices in residential premises!

Heads of organizations should take into account the following when holding mass celebrations:

- it is allowed to use only premises provided with at least two evacuation exits, which do not have bars on the windows and are located no higher than 2 floors in buildings with combustible floors;

- Christmas trees should be installed on a stable foundation and in such a way that the branches do not touch the walls and ceiling, do not obstruct the exit from the room;

- illumination should be carried out in compliance with the technical standards of electrical installations. If a malfunction is detected in the illumination (heating of wires, flashing of light bulbs, sparking), it should be immediately de-energized;

- during the events, it is necessary to organize duty on the stage and in the back rooms of those responsible for fire safety. The premises where the events are held are provided with primary fire extinguishing means.
