Electricity brings a lot of benefits to a person. But it is dangerous, especially for children. If an adult already has a certain life experience and knows basic safety rules, then children, especially young ones, will only get to know this world. They are inquisitive, active, mobile, and they evaluate everything that surrounds them with their senses. However, the human senses are not able to detect the presence of tension, and children do not understand its danger. Parents and we adults are obliged to create safe conditions for their lives.
In this regard, it is necessary to conduct a conversation with children aimed at preventing electrical injuries and tell them about the rules of electrical safety, preventing games and being near energy facilities.
At power facilities there are special warning safety signs or appropriate posters are reinforced, which warn of the danger of electric shock: "Caution! Electrical voltage. Life-threatening!". It is equally important to tell children about the danger of electrical wires breaking, which may occur in bad weather. In order to avoid electric shock, the wires should not only be touched with your hands, but even get close to them, "especially" if it is wet around. Cases of wire breakage should be immediately reported to the local emergency service. Electrical appliances used by children at home and at school, as well as electrical networks and substations that are located in courtyards and on the streets, are safe during normal operation. All electrical installations have reliable fencing, warning signs, safety posters and are locked. However, with various insulation damages, wire breakage, lifting on supports, penetration into substations and electrical panels, there is a real threat to life. A child's prank near power facilities sometimes costs lives, in most cases it is severe injuries and burns.
According to the requirements of regulatory legal acts in the field of electric power, for example, the doors of transformer substations should be locked, a warning poster should be posted on the door, and more.
In this regard, the Territorial Department of the Atomic and Energy Supervision and Control Committee of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the East Kazakhstan region, in order to prevent and prevent accidents, asks citizens to pay attention to safety signs near substations and overhead lines, not to allow penetration over fences and barriers of electrical installations, not to approach energized non-fenced live parts, and also asks parents to conduct explanatory conversations with children on the topics of safety compliance.
We adults should be the main helpers in learning the basics of safety for our child. We are obliged to teach children to anticipate dangerous situations and avoid them, and in extreme cases to be as ready as possible for them. And most importantly, it is necessary to remember the most important rule: IT IS IMPORTANT NOT ONLY TO KNOW THE SAFETY RULES, BUT ALSO TO OBSERVE THEM!
