Most pensioners live in the East Kazakhstan region

"Government for Citizens" shared information about pensioners receiving pension payments through the state corporation. There are 2.2 million pensioners in Kazakhstan today.

The registration of this service is handled by the social security departments of the branches of the state corporation. According to their data, most pensioners live in the Almaty region – 234,043 people. In second place, with a slight lag, is the East Kazakhstan region – 233,109 people, the city of Almaty closes the top three leaders - 229,994 people.

The least number of pensioners live in Mangystau (55,388), Atyrau (61,252) and Kyzylorda (76,423) regions.

"The State Corporation always tries to pay great attention to our clients of retirement age. We have a mobile PSC that can provide services to them at home. Each department has a preferential window where pensioners can receive public services without waiting in line. For two years now we have been a pilot organization where the possibility of retirement in a proactive way is being tested. In this case, the future pensioner, when he reaches retirement age, only needs to give his consent to the SMS notification sent with a proposal to arrange everything proactively," said Azamat Esembulov, director of the Government for Citizens branch for East Kazakhstan region.

To do this, the future pensioner must provide the following documents: an application for the appointment of pension payments by age, an identity card and its copy, a certificate of income and pension payments made from them (issued by the employer or the state revenue authority), a work record or other documents confirming work experience. Depending on the situation, you may need other documents – a diploma of education, a military ID, a marriage certificate, birth certificates of children and others. If a person has a disability, is a participant in hostilities, lived in areas of maximum radiation risk, has the status of "KANDASA", you will need to provide supporting documents.

To make pension payments, you must apply 10 days before the retirement age.

In 2021, in Kazakhstan, the retirement age for men comes at 63, for women at 60.
