Chimneys, chimneys and other elements of heating furnaces and systems are cleaned of soot immediately before the start, as well as during the heating season at least:
1) once every three months-for heating furnaces;
2) once every two months-for furnaces and continuous-action foci.
In the attics in which the smoke channels pass, all the chimneys and walls are whitewashed.
Kitchen stoves and other furnaces of a continuous (long-term) furnace are cleaned at least once a month.
When operating the furnace heating is not allowed:
1) leave unattended burning stoves, as well as entrust the supervision of them to children;
2) place the fuel prepared for combustion, as well as other combustible substances and materials on the pre-heating sheet;
3) use flammable and combustible liquids for ignition of solid fuel stoves;
4) to heat coal, coke and gas furnaces that are not intended for these types of fuel;
5) to heat stoves in the premises during meetings and other mass events held in them;
6) re-pump the furnaces;
7) dry combustible substances and materials (shoes, clothing, firewood) at a distance of less than 0.5 m from the surface of the furnace and chimneys;
8) use gate valves (dampers) without the holes provided for by the design standards;
9) use ventilation and gas ducts as chimneys;
10) to carry out the heating of furnaces that have malfunctions, cracks and crevices.
Ash and slag containing incandescent and smoldering materials, after raking out of the furnaces, are removed to a specially designated place for them, excluding the possibility of a fire, and are spilled with water.
It is not allowed to place combustible substances, materials, products and equipment at a distance of less than 1.25 m to the furnace openings and less than 0.7 m to the other heated parts of the furnaces.
Fuel (coal) is stored in specially adapted rooms or on specially designated sites located no closer than 8 m from the buildings being burned.
