In East Kazakhstan, the sad statistics of the bathing season have been replenished with new tragedies. All cases occurred in unequipped places where it is impossible to swim and rescuers are not on duty.
On July 17, a man born in 1981 drowned while swimming in an unidentified place in the area of the Kyzyl Tu crossing of the Bukhtarma reservoir.
On July 18, a 17-year-old boy drowned in the Altai region, on the wild beach of the Bukhtarma reservoir. Currently, the staff of the operational and rescue squad is searching for the drowned man. The search is hampered by a large amount of aquatic vegetation.
On July 19, a teenager born in 2006 drowned in an unequipped place for swimming in the village of Nizhniye Crypty.
The Department of Emergency Situations appeals to residents and guests of our region – be extremely attentive to yourself and your loved ones on vacation and follow the rules of behavior on the water:
- do not swim in unequipped places,
- do not leave children unattended
- do not swim in a state of alcoholic intoxication.
- it is dangerous to jump or dive into the water in an unknown place
- do not allow rough games on the water. You can not swim under the swimmers, "drown", give false signals for help, etc.
- swim very carefully on inflatable mattresses and inflatable toys, the wind or current can carry them far from the shore, and the wave can overwhelm them.
- do not swim alone and in the dark.
In case of an emergency, call "112".
