Media literacy and media education

The public association "Kazakhstan AmCorners Network" with the support of the US Embassy in Kazakhstan, within the framework of cooperation under the American Corners program, from January 11 to 28, 2021, conducted an online course for library staff on the topic "Training for trainers in media and information literacy.

KSU "Centralized Library System of Ulan district" took part in the training. B. Akhmadieva, an employee of the central district library, successfully completed the online course and received a certificate.

On the basis of the knowledge gained, librarian B. Akhmadieva held an online lesson for employees of rural libraries of the Ulan district on March 16, 2021, where 14 people took part. During the training, information on Internet security was provided, critical thinking skills and analysis were trained for further transfer of the acquired knowledge and skills.
