Excursion to the Motherland of Abay

On October 19-20, 2020, employees of the state Committee for culture, language development, physical culture and sports of the Ulan district, in honor of the 175th anniversary of the great poet, philosopher Abay Kunanbayev, made a trip to the poet's homeland as part of the project "Be Abay...". The main purpose of our trip is to contribute to the preservation of national identity, to see the homeland of great people with your own eyes, to popularize the literary and spiritual heritage of the great Abay, whose history is valuable, to pay tribute to the spirit of the great people of the Kazakh people.

During the trip, we gathered new information about the great Abay and prayed in memory of the great people. We walked through the Holy places where the Great Abay set foot, gained spiritual strength and saw the things that he once held in his hands. We visited all cultural sites with the name of Abay in Semey and presented memorable gifts on behalf of the akim of Ulan district.

Abay has been living with us for 175 years with his vivid image, poetry and instructive thoughts, and he will live forever!
