The Digital Documents service has become available in mobile applications Kaspi.kz and Halyk Homebank. Previously, digital documents could only be used through the eGov Mobile application.
Now in apps Kaspi.kz and Halyk Homebank in the public services section, citizens can see the Digital Documents service. When logging in, the user will need to consent to the use of digital documents using a one-time password, without consent, the data will not be transferred to external platforms. This customer identification mechanism ensures security and prevents possible fraud by third parties. In order to provide a Digital document at the place of request, you need to use a QR code or a short six-digit code.
"Digital documents" are currently used by about 10 million Kazakhstanis. This is convenient – there is no need to have the original documents with you. For even more comfortable use, we are bringing this service to third-party platforms popular among Kazakhstani users, but this functionality will be available only with the consent of the citizen himself," said Bagdat Musin, Minister of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
A digital document is an analogue of the original document. Currently, the Digital Documents service contains 18 documents (identity card, driver's license, vaccination passport, PCR test and birth certificate, etc.), which are actively used by about 10 million citizens.
To date, digital documents can be used at all airports of the country, when boarding cars at railway stations of JSC "KTZ", at branches of JSC "Otbasy Bank", Beeline mobile operator, as well as when receiving services from second-tier banks and notaries.
Digital documents have become available on external platforms thanks to the integration of JSC "National Information Technologies" with Kaspi.kz and JSC "Halyk Bank".
For reference:
A digital document is an electronic document generated by a digital document service that is necessary to receive government services and other services in electronic form, as well as when interacting with individuals and legal entities. The Digital Documents service provides for the direct use of the electronic version of the original identity document, which gives citizens the opportunity to provide an electronic document to other government agencies and organizations to provide any services (for example, when buying air and railway tickets, etc.).
