The Head of State was informed about the current state of the telecommunications industry of Kazakhstan, the development of its mobile segment, work to improve the quality and increase the range of services provided to the population and business.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev was informed about the prospects of deploying a fifth-generation 5G network and further reducing digital inequality.

In particular, Kuanyshbek Yessekeyev told the President about the implementation of projects in villages for the construction of local networks on the basis of a fiber-optic highway built in rural areas in 2018-2020.

As part of the Digital Partner program, private service companies are connected to the project of bringing high-speed Internet to every household. In addition, the President was familiarized with the company's plans to use advanced FWA (Fixed Wireless Access, fixed Wireless communication) technology in the 2300 MHz band.

Following the meeting, the Head of state gave a number of specific instructions concerning the company's current activities to reduce the digital inequality between the city and the countryside, as well as promising projects of the national telecom operator.
