District and regional olympiads started in Kazakhstan: they will be held in electronic format for the first time

The district stage of the republican Olympiad in general education subjects has started in Kazakhstan. This year intellectual competitions are held in electronic format for the first time. The innovation is aimed at ensuring the transparency of the Olympiads. Almost 100 thousand schoolchildren from 291 districts (cities) will take part in them.

The second stage of the Olympiad will last until February 22, the third - the regional round will be held from February 28 to March 5, 2022.

The Republican Olympiad in general education subjects is held through the "Oqylyq" platform using the proctoring system. Students are provided with an answer form, a personal login and password to access the tasks. The Olympiad is held on the principle of "1 computer – 1 student - 1 camera". At the same time, the competition is recorded and broadcast live.

The winners of the district (city) stage will take part in the next regional round of the Republican Olympiad.

It should be noted that the RNPC "Daryn" of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan is the flagship in the field of identification, development and professional support of gifted schoolchildren of the country. Today, the center organizes and conducts more than 70 subject Olympiads of various levels.

Last year, Kazakhstani schoolchildren brought 26 medals won at international Olympiads to the treasury of Kazakhstan.

The Head of State instructed to take measures to support gifted children. The Ministry proposed the payment of one-time bonuses and the provision of educational grants without passing the UNT. The winners of the gold medal will receive prizes in the amount of 1500 MCI, the silver medal – 1000 MCI, the bronze - 500 MCI.

The awards are also intended for teachers-trainers who have prepared the winners.
