Homeowners will receive SMS when registering a residence permit

Now in Kazakhstan, when registering citizens, the owner of the housing will receive an SMS with the data of the person he has registered. If the owner wants to discharge someone, the person who was discharged will also receive a corresponding notification, the press service of the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry reports.

The new service was introduced by the state corporation «Government for Citizens». As noted by Bagdat Musin, the Minister of Digital Development, SMS notifications should solve the problem when strangers were secretly registered in the living space of citizens.

«Kazakhstanis often write to me that someone prescribes complete strangers to them. The new service should solve the problem: if someone tries to register a person on your living space through a CSC (Citizens’ service centers) without your participation, you will immediately find out about it thanks to an SMS notification. The service will help in the fight against intermediaries who offer to make a residence permit for money,» - the press service quotes Bagdat Musin.

It is noted that since 2019, the state corporation «Government for Citizens» has been able to register citizens. Previously, this service was provided by employees of the migration service located in the CSC (Citizens’ service centers).
