about competitive procedures for the projects "Ust-Kamenogorsk-Altai-Ulken Naryn-Katon-Karagay-Rakhmanov keys" km 56-72, 72-88

Reconstruction of the section of the highway of national significance "Ust-Kamenogorsk-Altai-Bolshenarymskoe-Katon-Karagay-rakhmanovsky keys", the so-called bypass of the pass "Osinovsky" began in 2017. The goal of the project is to avoid dangerous mountain areas. The section was divided into 2 projects-km 56-72, 72-88 with a total length of 27.7 km instead of the existing 32 km, i.e. the highway is reduced by 4.3 km.

On the first section of 12.1 km, the builders managed to reconstruct the road with a length of 7.7 kilometers, during the period 2017-2019. large volumes of earthworks were performed, reaching the bottom layer of the coating of hot coarse-grained asphalt concrete. At the site, works were performed on the construction of culverts, snow-retaining shields on potentially avalanche-prone areas, upland ditches, and a large volume of drilling and blasting operations. You will also need to lay the last layer of asphalt from schma.

In the second section of 15.6 km ready 9,9 kilometers, during the implementation of the project have been blasting device of subgrade main road, the device culverts 89%, and 9.9 km the device of road clothes with a top coat of stone mastic asphalt (63%).

The project was suspended following the arising questions of the availability of state forest lands in areas of reconstruction, the agreement with the contractor is terminated due to the ongoing transfer of state forest lands in land transport as a consequence of the impossibility of the work.

As of may 2020, the issue of transferring the state Forest Fund lands to transport lands has been resolved, and an application has been submitted for the production of a state act for the right to permanent land use with subsequent registration with the Justice authorities.

Competitive procedures are underway to determine the contractor, and if the winner is determined, work will resume. Construction companies and suppliers of road construction materials can participate in this Grand project.
