The district's livestock industry is developing steadily, and the livestock population is being preserved. The number of cattle was 191.3 thousand heads, compared to the same period last year, 109.1%, sheep and goats – 357.4 thousand heads, the growth rate of 101.8%, horses – 41.5 thousand heads – 110.9%, poultry – 29.2 thousand heads-100.0%.
In the district, 774 farms, 44,631 heads of breeding cattle, including 2,168 heads of breeding bulls of the Kazakh white-headed breed were registered for the IAS program in 2020.

In 2020 in agriculture "Aspan-W" is planned to put into operation 1000 goals in agriculture "Sarman – 8" 1000 heads of feedlot for 5000 heads, in 2021 in agriculture "ASYL – agro – 7" 1000 heads in LLP "Sm – agro" plans to launch a feed yard for 5000 heads.

Artificial insemination of cattle and sheep.
On the basis of the contract through the sec "Ayagoz ASYL-tukym" in April-may, 1048 heads of breeding cattle were artificially inseminated to 9 farms and 5 individuals. In 2019, 14,466 heads of breeding sheep were inseminated in the Kokzhyra district of the Kokzhirinsky rural district.
In rural districts, 58 farms used their own funds to drill 60 wells. Over the past 5 years, 278 wells have been excavated.
