Information that non-certified amplifiers interfere with the signal quality of cellular base stations of the Interregional Telecommunications Inspection of the Telecommunications Committee of the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the East Kazakhstan and Pavlodar regions (hereinafter referred to as the Inspection), in accordance with paragraphs 1, 2, art. 8 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated July 5, 2004 No. 567 "On Communications" (hereinafter referred to as the Law) exercises state control over the implementation of the requirements of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of communications in the relevant administrative - territorial unit.
The Inspectorate receives complaints from mobile operators about interference at mobile base stations located in the region. It is established that residents of the settlements of the region use non-certified repeaters to amplify the cellular signal, which create interference on the frequencies allocated to mobile operators.
A GSM signal repeater or repeater is an electronic equipment designed to amplify the signal received by a mobile phone or computer, which helps to improve the clarity of sound and the quality of reception.
Installation of non-certified equipment by individuals occurs independently, configuration, installation, configuration of the repeater requires special knowledge and qualifications. Incorrect operation of the repeater affects the radio frequency situation of cellular base stations, creates interference on the operator's frequencies, blocks the communication signal for other users, and there are difficulties with calling emergency services (101, 102, 103, 104), security alarm system.
Currently, cellular repeaters are one of the main obstacles to high-quality communication.
