Thousands of rare fish released into the reservoir of East Kazakhstan region

At the expense of the state budget, four thousand two-year-old Siberian sturgeon were released into the Black Irtysh River. This reservoir was chosen precisely because it is a natural habitat for the Red Book fish, here it has been found from time immemorial. This activity is primarily aimed at creating a stable population of sturgeon in the Black Irtysh and stabilizing the ecosystem of the aquatic world. Also, this measure became one of the stages of transition to stocking with more valuable fish species.
