ABOUT THE REPUBLICAN CONTEST
"GREEN OFFICE»
The Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Management of the East Kazakhstan region informs that the "Coalition for the "Green Economy" and the Development of G-Global "is holding the third republican contest "Green Office", the mission of which is to encourage managers and employees of organizations that care about issues related to environmental protection.
The purpose of the competition is to promote energy, water and resource conservation, promote eco-friendly technologies, goods and services, as well as promote the creation of comfortable working conditions focused on respect for the environment; the formation of "green" thinking among the population by promoting a lean attitude to office resources; Promote the formation of a community of environmentally responsible companies; Attract public attention to issues of environmental protection, sustainable development, maintaining the climate balance, rational use of resources.
The competition started in the following categories:
1) education (universities, colleges, schools, kindergartens, etc.);
2) healthcare (hospitals, polyclinics, medical centers, etc.));
3) state bodies (ministries and departments, akimats, etc.);
4) international organizations and representative offices;
5) quasi-public sector;
6) industrial enterprises;
7) business and shopping centers;
8) service sector (hotels, beauty salons, sports complexes);
9) financial organizations (banks, insurance companies, etc.);
10) NGOs.
According to the results of the Competition, the winners will receive a special badge "Green Office", diplomas of the winners.
We invite you to participate in the Competition, as well as to assist in the organization of the Competition by distributing information to your subordinate and other organizations in accordance with the above categories.

I. GENERAL PROVISIONS.
1.1. This regulation (hereinafter referred to as the Regulation) on the holding of the Green Office competition (hereinafter referred to as the Competition) sets out the objectives, procedure for organizing, conducting and summing up the results of the Competition.
1.2. Contest Organizer: The G-Global Green Economy and Development Coalition (hereinafter referred to as the Organizer) is supported by the Ministry of Ecology, Geology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the OSCE Program Office in Nur-Sultan.

II. THE MISSION OF THE CONTEST
The mission of the Competition is to promote the processes of implementation and support of environmentally friendly approaches focused on respect for the environment and the creation of comfortable working conditions.
The purpose of the Competition is to promote the best environmental practices and resource conservation of green offices, as well as corporate programs for employee health care. Participation in the Competition is an opportunity to create the image of an environmentally oriented company that complies with international environmental standards for the sake of preserving the natural environment and human health
III. OBJECTIVES OF THE COMPETITION.
* selection and promotion of the best ideas, projects and corporate practices in the field of ecology, creating a friendly environment in offices.
* Promotion of energy and resource conservation, promotion of eco-friendly technologies, goods and services, as well as promotion of the creation of comfortable working conditions, focused on respect for the environment.
* promoting the formation of a community of environmentally responsible companies;
attracting public attention to issues of environmental protection, sustainable development, and rational use of resources
IV. CONTEST CATEGORIES.
1. " The best GREEN OFFICE-among government agencies and the quasi-public sector (ministries, akimats, departments, etc.)
2. " The best GREEN OFFICE-among International organizations and representative offices»
3. "The best GREEN OFFICE - in the education sector" (higher and secondary, school and preschool institutions, etc);
4. "The best GREEN OFFICE - in the healthcare sector" hospitals, clinics, medical centers, pharmacies, etc.);
5. " The best GREEN OFFICE-among industrial enterprises»;
6. "The best GREEN OFFICE-among financial organizations" (banks, insurance companies, etc.);
7. " The best GREEN OFFICE-among business centers and shopping centers»;
8. " The best GREEN OFFICE-in the field of "services" (hotels, restaurants, sports complexes);
9. " The best GREEN OFFICE-among small and medium-sized businesses»;
10. "The best GREEN OFFICE - among NGOs".
Other sectors that operate using office facilities are also invited to participate.
V. PROCEDURE AND TERMS OF THE COMPETITION. TERMS OF PARTICIPATION.
5.1. Information about the procedures and the course of the Competition is posted on the Organizer's website – http://greenoffice-kaz.org/.
5.1.1 To participate, you must fill out the Competition documents and send them to the Organizer's email address greenkaz.kz@gmail.com.
Documents for participation in the Competition:
1) Participant's questionnaire (submitted in electronic version in pdf format)
2) Supporting Materials (documents, photo and video materials) demonstrating the practices, approaches and activities of the "Green Office" in the organization.
5.1.2. After reviewing the applications for completeness of the submitted documents, the applications are registered by the Organizer. All participants who have registered to participate in the Competition will be sent a confirmation to the e-mail address specified in the application, and, if necessary, additional instructions for submitting the competition materials
5.2. The deadline for submitting applications for participation in the Competition: from 16.04.2021 to 31.08.2021. The deadline and time for completing the acceptance of documents is 31.08.2021, 23: 59 hours (according to the time of Nur-Sultan).
The application submitted after the deadline for submission is not subject to registration.
5.3.Economic entities of any organizational and legal form that conduct their activities in office-type objects are allowed to participate in the Competition. The competition accepts applications from residents and representative offices of Kazakhstan, as well as implemented projects in Kazakhstan.
5.4. Participation in the Contest is public and free of charge.
5.5.The competition is open and public. The organizers will visit the sites to see the offices of the participants of the contest (to produce photo and video for their publications on social networks).
5.5. Applicants may contact the Organizers of the Competition for explanations on the preparation and registration of applications for participation in Competition, the order of Competition and other issues before a date (e.g. the date of selection of the winners)
VI. CRITERIA FOR SELECTING THE WINNER.
Within the framework of the Competition, the approaches, practices, project, and activities implemented in the organization will be evaluated.:
1. Construction and repair of office premises and buildings of the object
2. Reduction of electricity consumption.
3. Saving heat and ensuring adequate ventilation
4. Reducing water consumption
5. Minimization of pollution and waste management
6. Resource saving and consumption reduction
7. Employee Health
8. Design and landscaping.
9. Informing employees and office visitors
10. Availability of management systems, documentation of processes for maintaining the principles of green office, accounting for consumption.
VII. COPYRIGHT, USE OF THE MATERIALS OF THE TENDER PROPOSALS.
7.1. The copyrights to the Results of intellectual activity presented in the contest proposals of the participants belong to the relevant participants, are protected by the norms of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan and international legal acts.
7.2. Use of bid materials:
The organizer of the Competition has the right to use the materials contained in the competition proposals as part of the information and advertising campaign to support the Competition, as well as to highlight its results, to publish information brochures, organize exhibitions, etc., as well as in the press, printed publications, TV shows and exhibition events without additional approval from the participants. Submitting an application for the Competition means that the participant agrees to the above terms of use of the competition projects.
VIII. PROCEDURE FOR CONDUCTING THE SELECTION STAGES
8.1. Consideration of the competition Applications is carried out by the Competition Commission. The format of the qualifying stage is determined at the discretion of the Competition Organizers.
8.2. Applications are evaluated according to the competition criteria.
IX. SUMMING UP THE RESULTS OF THE COMPETITION
9.1. The finalists of the contest are awarded with a certificate of participation. The winners of the Competition are awarded with honorary diplomas and Special Badges
9.2. The results of the Competition within 10 working days are drawn up by the minutes of the Competition Commission and published in the mass media and (or) on the website of the Organizers of the Competition no later than 5 working days from the date of its registration.
9.3. Applications are non-refundable and are kept by the Organizers of the Contest.
