More than 55 couples in VKO got married on a “mirror” date

Today, February 25, 2025, is a mirror date - 02/25/2025, which has a special meaning for some people. It has long been noted that many couples prefer to enter into a legal marriage on such "beautiful" dates. As a result, the number of registrations today significantly exceeded the average for ordinary days.

From early morning, newlyweds began to come to the Civil Registry Offices in the East Kazakhstan region to start a family and receive a marriage registration document.

"Such mirror dates are always popular among newlyweds. For example, today in the city of Ust-Kamenogorsk, 48 couples have already registered their relationship, and in the regions - another 22. And the registrations continue. I would like to wish everyone a happy family life, great love, may this date remain special for them for life," says Aliya Kushkinbaeva, Head of the Civil Registry Office Department of the branch of the State Corporation "Government for Citizens" in East Kazakhstan.

It is worth noting that on normal days, 5 to 10 marriages are usually registered in the VKO Civil Registry Offices. In recent years, the number of new officially registered families in VKO has been steadily growing. In 2022, 4,578 couples tied the knot, in 2023 - 4,682, and in 2024 this number increased to 4,884.

Civil Registry Office specialists also note that the approach to creating a family has now become more conscious: if 4-5 years ago the average age of newlyweds was 22-23 years old, today it has increased to 26-28 years old.
