World environmental campaign "Earth Hour"

Every year, under the auspices of the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) and the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the World Environmental Action “Earth Hour” (hereinafter referred to as the action) has been held in Kazakhstan since 2009.
The goal of the event is to draw attention to the need for a responsible and careful attitude towards the environment and natural resources of the planet, as well as to increase environmental awareness and education among the younger generation.
This event has been held since 2007, in which more than 190 countries of the world take part.
In 2024, Kazakhstan will join the action for the 15th time, which will be held on March 23 of this year, from 20:30 to 21:30 local time.
At this time, the lighting of iconic cultural and social objects, parks, alleys, places of public recreation is turned off, various industry enterprises and business partnerships turn off electricity at industrial sites, concerned citizens join the action by turning off the lights in residential buildings, offices and many others.
