MEETING OF AFGHAN WAR VETERANS WITH YOUTH

Today, at Samara Secondary School No. 1, a meeting of veterans of the Afghan war with youth took place, dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the withdrawal of Soviet troops from Afghanistan. Veterans of the Afghan war R. Rakhimov, A. Arikov, M. Nurpeisov were invited to the meeting. Taking part were the chairman of the district council of veterans N. Isenov, the head of the education department for the Samar district R. Zakiryanova, acting. director of Samara secondary school No. 1 A. Akhmadieva, history teacher M. Mamyrbekov, librarian of the Samara regional library M. Popova, head of the “Historical and Local Lore Museum” Z. Tobykpaeva.

The hosts of the event, L. Lebedeva and L. Gebel, told students about the courage of Soviet soldiers and our compatriots. The guests were asked questions and made a speech. A minute of silence was held in honor of all the fallen internationalist fighters. The event ended with the performance of a song by teacher S. Karmenov, words of gratitude and good wishes.
