A festive concert dedicated to International Women's Day, March 8, was held in the Samara district. During his congratulatory address, District Akim Serik Zhenisov called on women to demonstrate civic engagement and participate in the national referendum.
The district head reiterated the history of the holiday: "Even at the beginning of the 20th century, women fought for the right to vote and equality. Today, you have the opportunity to exercise your civil right: come to the referendum on the draft new Constitution on March 15. This is important for the country and our future," the akim emphasized.
Serik Zhenisov recalled that Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has repeatedly emphasized that in Kazakhstan, the rights of women and men are fully respected in accordance with the Constitution.
More than 30 women in the district received certificates of honor and letters of gratitude from the regional and district leadership for their contribution to the socioeconomic development of the region. Every woman in the audience received flowers and gifts, creating a festive atmosphere and evoking smiles. The celebration concluded with a vibrant concert: artists from the community center and students from the arts center performed fun numbers and musical performances, bringing joy and a festive atmosphere to the guests.
