Why do you need to apply for your pension on time?

The UAPF reminds that persons who have pension savings in the UAPF, formed through mandatory pension contributions and (or) mandatory professional pension contributions, and who have reached the generally established retirement age, as well as persons with disabilities of the first and second groups, if the disability is established indefinitely, have the right to receive pension payments from the UAPF according to the established schedule.

To assign pension payments from the UAPF in connection with reaching retirement age, recipients must promptly contact the PSC at their place of residence, and for payment in connection with the establishment of disability of the first or second group indefinitely – to the units of the UAPF, including through the UAPF website if there is an electronic digital signature. Documents can be submitted to the PSC together with the application 10 days before the recipient reaches retirement age. We strongly recommend that you comply with this deadline, because this is especially important for obtaining a state pension, the appointment of which requires checking the length of service according to the submitted documents. In addition, according to the legislation, the appointment of old-age pensions and state basic payments is made from the date of application. This day is considered to be the day of registration of the application and the necessary documents with the State Corporation "Government for Citizens" (hereinafter - the State Corporation, PSC).

Recall that an old-age pension can be received by persons who have reached the generally established retirement age: men upon reaching 63 years old, women upon reaching 61 years old in 2024. Pension payments from the UAPF are made until the retirement savings are exhausted.
Meanwhile, in order to provide proactive services for the implementation of pension payments from the UAPF to persons who have reached retirement age, have pension savings in the UAPF and have not applied for their payment, the UAPF conducts an annual reconciliation together with the State Corporation for the availability of designated age pension payments and state basic pension payments at the expense of budgetary funds.
According to the results of the annual reconciliation, when identifying persons who have assigned pension payments at the expense of budgetary funds, the UAPF makes pension payments to them within the framework of the relevant agreement concluded with the State Corporation.

Thus, according to the results of the annual reconciliation as of March 1 of this year, out of about 200 thousand people who have reached retirement age, have pension savings in the UAPF and have not applied for their payment, according to the State Corporation:

• about 45 thousand persons who are not recipients of age pension payments/basic pension;
• about 92 thousand persons are recipients of age pension payments/basic pension/for long service at the expense of budgetary funds, of which:
- about 20 thousand citizens this year independently applied to the PSC at their place of residence for a pension payment from the UAPF;
- - about 72 thousand citizens have been assigned pension payments from NPFs in a proactive format based on the results of reconciliation;
• About 63 thousand people have left for permanent residence outside the Republic of Kazakhstan or have died.

Thus, according to the results of the above-mentioned reconciliation, during March-April of this year, the UAPF made pension payments from the UAPF to about 72 thousand citizens without their contacting the PSC in a proactive format.

The UAPF was established on August 22, 2013 on the basis of JSC NPF GNPF. The founder and shareholder of the UAPF is the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan represented by the State Property and Privatization Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The trust management of pension assets of the UAPF is carried out by the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Since January 1, 2016, the functions of developing proposals to improve the efficiency of pension asset management have been transferred to the National Fund Management Council. In accordance with pension legislation, the NPF attracts mandatory pension contributions, mandatory occupational pension contributions, voluntary pension contributions, pension payments, individual accounting of pension savings and payments, provides the depositor (recipient) with information on the status of his pension savings (for more information on www.enpf.kz ).
