How much did East Kazakhstanis spend on VIP rooms in 2023?

In 2023, East Kazakhstan car owners spent 63 million tenge on so-called “high demand” license plates, or VIP license plates, and purchased 217 plates.

Let us remind you that the practice of selling “beautiful” rooms was introduced in Kazakhstan in 2014. Proceeds from sales go to the country's budget.

In 2023, the fastest selling numbers were 010, 020, 030, 040, 050, 060, 070, 077, 080, 090, 707. The price of each license plate was 57 MCI (210,444 tenge in 2024).

Note that the most expensive numbers in the VIP line are 001, 002, 003, 004, 005, 006, 007, 008, 009, 777 with the same letters. Each such number costs the car owner 285 MCI (1,052,220 tenge in 2024).

Let us add that the owner of the license plate cannot give it as a gift or sell it to a third party. If the car is sold, the owner can leave it for storage for up to 6 months in a special service center before purchasing a new car.
