The emergency department of East Kazakhstan Region recalls the rules of conduct in case of an earthquake

Volunteers and staff of the UCHS Ust-Kamenogorsk, East Kazakhstan Region, in preparation for the Republican Command and Staff Exercises "Zher-2024", which will be held in the region, conduct training briefings with the population on the rules of behavior in case of an earthquake. In order to reach the largest number of citizens, in addition to bypassing residential buildings, rescuers and volunteers visit shopping malls and places with a mass stay of citizens.

The Emergency department of East Kazakhstan Region reminds the rules of behavior in case of an earthquake: If you are indoors, quickly take a safe place.

Take cover in the opening of the inner door or in the corner of the room.

Beware of falling debris or heavy furniture

Do not run out onto the balcony, stay away from windows and heavy objects.

Do not run out of the building, wait until the tremors are over, and only then leave the room.

Do not use the elevator. Turn off the water, gas, and electricity before leaving.

Take an alarm case with you, which should contain a flashlight, a first-aid kit, and documents.

If you are outside, find an open area away from buildings and power lines.

Provide assistance to the elderly and people with disabilities.

After the earthquake, turn on the radio and listen to information about the epicenter of the earthquake and further actions.
