The rules for vehicle registration and driver training have changed

Starting from April 23, 2024, the country's special centers will accept mandatory notarization of car purchase and sale agreements when registering vehicles. In this case, the written form of the transaction (PFS) will be canceled.

These changes are aimed at ensuring transparency in the provision of public services. Note that if citizens do not wish to notarize car purchase and sale transactions for re-registration, they can re-register the vehicle online through the applications of second-tier banks.

In addition, from April 23, candidates for drivers will be able to take exams for obtaining a license only after graduating from driving schools. The points allowing self-training of candidates for drivers applying for category A and B licenses, as well as A1 and B1, have been removed from the rules for taking exams and issuing driver's licenses.

It should be noted that the innovations became possible due to the introduction of changes and additions to the Rules of registration and accounting of vehicles, as well as driver training. This was necessary to improve the efficiency of administrative processes and ensure a higher level of road safety

The amendments were developed by the Administrative Police Committee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan and are based on the provisions of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Road Traffic". A total of 53 amendments have been made to the rules.

They passed through public discussion, anti-corruption expertise and were approved by the Public Council on the activities of the Department of Internal Affairs and the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan "Atameken".

The Government for Citizens calls on all transport owners and candidates for driver's licenses to familiarize themselves with the new rules.
