As part of a working trip to the East Kazakhstan region, Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov got acquainted with the progress of repair and restoration work at the Ridder thermal power plant.
According to the Deputy Akim of East Kazakhstan region Bakytzhan Bayakhmetov⤵️
To date, 2 of the 6 boilers of the station have already been launched.
In the near future, it is expected to launch another one, which will provide residents with heat in full.
In parallel, repair and restoration work is underway on the remaining units and auxiliary equipment.
The work is carried out in accordance with the approved schedule.
In general, the repair of the fuel oil pumping station, the fuel supply path, communication transformers and the turbo generator has been completed today.
To ensure the hydraulic regime on the heating networks, work has been completed to restore the power supply of pumping stations.
The roof of the boiler and turbine shops has been repaired.
The repair of the railway tracks along which coal is being supplied is also at the completion stage.
The Prime Minister stressed that for almost the entire last heating season, the Ridder thermal power plant worked in emergency mode and often stopped, as a result of which the population did not receive heat in the proper volume.
"This was due to the fact that the previous owners did not invest in the modernization and improvement of the station. All this led to the fact that the CHP was in a very deplorable state. We were forced to allocate 8.4 billion tenge from the republican budget. The Akimat of the region, for its part, allocated about 500 million tenge. With this money, repair work has been carried out nonstop all this time. It is important that they are completed in a timely manner so that the upcoming heating season goes properly. We need to monitor this day and night," Alikhan Smailov said.
He also instructed to speed up the process of transferring the CHP to communal ownership.
At the facility, the Prime Minister was also informed about the region's readiness for the heating season.
As of today, the work on the preparation of budget organizations (over 830 objects), residential buildings (more than 3 thousand), utility networks and boiler houses has almost been completed.
A similar process is nearing its final stage at thermal power plants and hydroelectric power plants.
