An informative conversation about the life and work of N. A. Gorbachev "Our Countryman" was held at the N. V. Gogol Central State Library

In September 2023, the centenary of the birth of the writer, who was born in East Kazakhstan, is celebrated. The purpose of the conversation is to introduce young readers to the work of N. A. Gorbachev, to remind regular readers about his works. Having outlined the main stages of the creative biography, the librarian paid special attention to the novel "White Waters", dedicated to the feat of home front workers during the Great Patriotic War.

Gorbachev's novel tells about the Rudny Altai and its people. About what the extraction of lead, so necessary for military needs, cost. Events take place at the front and at the mines, at the lead factory and in the regional party committee.

The conversation was based on the article "Filial Duty" from Mikhail Nemtsev's book "Under the Squirrels of the Emerald Altai". The story was accompanied by video illustrations.
