The transfer of the functions of the RAGS to the state corporation

Currently, the bodies of the RAGS carry out state registration of birth, death, marriage and divorce, change, supplement, correct, restore and cancel civil status records.

The Law «On Amendments and Additions to Some Legislative Acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on stimulating innovation, digitalization, information security and education» provides for the transfer of civil status registration from July 1 this year to the State Corporation «Government for Citizens».

To date, the state corporation is a single provider of public services to the population.

At this stage, the state corporation has already concentrated the reception and processing of services for registration of social benefits, registration of documents for land plots, registration of rights to immovable property, registration of liens of movable property, technical inspection of real estate, registration of legal entities.

The transfer of the functions of the RAGS to the state corporation does not imply the abolition of the RAGS bodies, since they will be located in the state corporation with the appropriate competence.
