Meirama Shrovetide

On March 1, mass festivities dedicated to the celebration of "Shrovetide" were held on Pridvortsovaya Square. The celebration program included: a concert program, a sale fair, contests, sports and much more. The culmination of the holiday was the burning of a scarecrow. By tradition, the townspeople cheerfully and fervently greeted the spring.
