On November 2, the City competition of school guides dedicated to the Republic Day ended in the Ridder Museum of Local History.

 Creative teams of seven educational institutions of the city took part in the competition: S. Butakovo Secondary School, M. Gorky Secondary School, Secondary school No. 3, Secondary School No. 5, secondary School No. 10, secondary school No. 16 and the newly opened school No. 11.
At the first stage, the students filmed a video tour "My School". The second stage was full-time, in the museum. The young guides prepared the history of one exhibit from the museum's funds, which they got by lot. There were stories about a samovar and a chest, a typewriter and a teddy bear, and many other interesting objects preserved from the past.
According to the results of the competition, the jury named the winners: 1st place – the teams of secondary school No. 3 and M. Gorky Secondary School, 2nd place – the team of secondary school No. 16, 3rd place – the team of school No. 11.
In addition, all participants received personal certificates of school guides, as well as prizes from the Department of Culture, Language Development, Physical Culture and Sports of Ridder.
