About 80 training sessions were held for observers at the elections of the Republic of Kazakhstan

ASTANA. KAZINFORM – Chairman of the Center for Nonpartisan Observation Tolegen Kunadilov said that the center held about 80 training sessions for election observers, the correspondent of MIA Kazinform reports
"On September 22, it was announced that we will take an active part in monitoring the elections. We have formed republican and regional headquarters. We have conducted about 80 training events in online and offline formats. We train observers within the framework of international standards and current legislation. We understand the complexity of the election campaign, so we rely on experienced people who know their rights and clearly understand their duties as observers, who will try to give the most objective assessment of the electoral process," Tolegen Kunadilov said at a briefing.
Since the beginning of the campaign period, representatives of the Center for Nonpartisan Observation have held a series of meetings with the heads of the headquarters of presidential candidates: Zhiguli Dayrabayeva, Meiram Kazhiken, Karakat Abden, Saltanat Tursynbekova, Nurlana Auesbayeva.
At the meetings, the goals and objectives of the Center's participation in public monitoring of the presidential elections were explained and a clear position of the Central Election Commission on the inadmissibility of violating the freedom of expression of citizens was voiced. Representatives of the candidates' headquarters expressed interest in cooperation on the training of observers. Similar meetings are held at the regional level.
During the elections, the Nonpartisan Observation Center plans to cover all polling stations in Kazakhstan. A pool of observers has been formed in all regions, and training is being conducted.
"As part of long-term monitoring, we conduct public monitoring during the period of campaigning, at the regional level. We have a situation center that promptly brings information to make certain decisions. With every election, the activity of civil society is growing. If in 2010 29 thousand people participated as observers, then in 2019 - 45 thousand, and in 2021 about 74 thousand people participated as observers in the parliamentary elections. Public interest is growing. The more civil society takes part in the monitoring, the more likely it is that the choice of citizens will be protected by law," Tolegen Kunadilov added.
Earlier, the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev signed a decree on the appointment of early presidential elections of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The elections will be held on November 20.
