Vice-Minister of Labor and Social Protection visited East Kazakhstan

Vice-Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan Akmadi Sarbasov visited the city of Ridder in the East Kazakhstan region as part of a working trip. During his visit, the Vice Minister held meetings with deputies of the city maslikhat, heads of state bodies, leaders of veteran and youth organizations, representatives of NGOs, mothers with many children, persons with disabilities, social workers and labor collectives. In his speeches, he spoke about the implementation of the instructions of the Head of State, voiced in the Address to the People of Kazakhstan, and the draft Social Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Upon arrival in the city of miners and metallurgists, Akmadi Sarbasov visited the Kazzinkmash PC of Kazzink LLP, where he got acquainted with the work of the enterprise and held a meeting with the workforce.

After that, a meeting was organized with mothers with many children, persons with disabilities and social workers in the Department of Employment and Social Programs of the city of Ridder.

During the meetings, he spoke in detail about strengthening measures of social support for citizens, which will be enshrined in the Social Code at the legislative level.

"The Social Code will accompany citizens throughout their lives, providing assistance from the state in the event of social risks. At the same time, a transition will be made from supporting certain vulnerable categories of citizens to creating basic conditions for strengthening and developing the Kazakh family," he said.

In addition, the Vice Minister also said that as part of the implementation of the instructions of the Head of State, the Social Code project provides for the formation of a system of social risks for families through the provision of social state guarantees in a proactive format through a Digital Family Card.

"A new employment policy will also be built, providing for strengthening the professional skills of the workforce, legislative consolidation and regulation of all types of flexible employment, attracting qualified personnel for technology and knowledge transfer, regulating internal migration, transforming employment centers into career centers and large–scale digitalization of services," Akmadi Sarbasov stressed.

He added that in pursuance of the instructions of the Head of State, special attention in the draft Social Code is paid to strengthening measures to support families with children.

- In particular, the period of payment of state benefits and social benefits from the State Social Insurance Fund for Child Care up to one and a half years will be increased, the amount of benefits to awarded mothers will also be increased, - said the Vice Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

According to him, the Social Code project also provides for the modernization of the social service system by expanding the availability of public services through PPP mechanisms, large-scale digitalization and reduction of the human factor.
