A lesson in courage “Leninogorsk - Heroes of the Soviet Union” was held at the KGKP “Ridder Museum of History and Local Lore” on February 19, 2020 for students of 6th grade at KSU “Secondary School No. 14” in honor of the celebration of the 75th anniversary of the Great Victory. In the Ridder Museum of History and Local Lore, a series of events is devoted to the main battles of the Great Patriotic War and the exploits of fellow heroes.
Even on the eve of the war, our city was renamed Leninogorsk, under this name it entered the history of the Great Patriotic War. The city led to the front 12,500 of its best sons and daughters. Every second did not return from the battlefield. Seven became Heroes of the Soviet Union: Tulegen Tokhtarov, Bezgolosov Vitaly Methodievich, Kolchin Alexander Alexandrovich, Sumin Andrey Vasilievich, Roshchin Lev Mikhailovich, Gulyaev Sergey Konstantinovich, Efremov Dmitry Ivanovich.

Children got acquainted with the biographies and exploits of fellow heroes. The story was accompanied by photographs from family and museum archives, fragments of the chronicle. At the end of the lesson of courage held a quiz to consolidate the material. Military-patriotic education of youth on the heroic examples of the past is one of the most important tasks of the lessons of history and courage.
