The law does not prohibit frying kebabs, but it must be done in compliance with fire safety rules. Most often, the reason is the careless handling of fire by the population. Most fires in private residential areas occur in the spring, when the season is just beginning and grossly violate fire safety rules.
Specialists of the UCHS of Ridder remind about the rules of fire safety in private residential areas:
- Firstly, it is necessary to observe the distance from the barbecue to the structures. Buildings and structures should be at least 10 m away.
- It is strictly forbidden to use gasoline or other flammable liquid;
- In any case, do not make a fire in windy weather;
- Watch the fire in the grill;
- Have primary fire extinguishing means in the vicinity: a barrel of water, a fire extinguisher;
- At the end of the picnic, be sure to extinguish the fire and cover the grill with a lid;
- When cleaning the territory near houses, it is forbidden to light a fire. Especially during the fire-hazardous period. It is allowed to burn only at a distance of at least 50 meters from buildings and structures, in a special iron container under supervision and in calm weather, if fire extinguishing means are available.
