Safety rules when using pyrotechnics

Safety rules when using pyrotechnics

Very soon there will be everyone's favorite holiday - the New Year. One of the wonderful New Year traditions of this incendiary holiday is the launch of fireworks, the explosion of firecrackers and other pyrotechnics, which creates a magical atmosphere. In addition to the wow effect and a whole bouquet of positive emotions that the launch of fireworks brings, there is another side to such fun - a danger to people's health. The majority of the population of our country, in combination with a great mood, forgets about safety, which leads to sad consequences.

The UCHS of G. Ridder reminds that it is prohibited:

- use pyrotechnic products in enclosed spaces, apartments, launch fireworks from balconies and loggias;

- use products with expired shelf life or with visible signs of damage (packaging violations);

- perform any actions not provided for in the instructions for use, as well as disassemble and alter pyrotechnic products;

- dry wet pyrotechnic products on heating devices and near an open fire;

- start the products with your hands and approach the products earlier than 10 minutes after they stop working;

- hold the wick near the face during ignition (it is necessary to light the wick at arm's length);

- use pyrotechnics in strong winds (more than 5 m/s);

- direct fireworks at people, animals, throw firecrackers under your feet;

- bend over lit fireworks;

- be closer than 15 meters from the active fireworks and fireworks;

- try to check the wick of non-working pyrotechnic products;

- burn non-functioning pyrotechnic products (it is necessary to put them in water for up to 2 days, after which they should be disposed of with ordinary household garbage).

Many people buy fireworks and other similar products for the holidays in advance, at least a week before the New Year, which means they keep it at home. Therefore, it is extremely important to follow the rules:

- store the products in a dry and warm room in the original packaging so that children cannot reach them

- it is impossible to disassemble pyrotechnic products

- do not store them in a room that is too wet or too dry, where the temperature exceeds 30 degrees or near heaters

- if your pyrotechnics are damp - in no case should it be dried on heating appliances or with a hair dryer.

Do not forget about safety when using pyrotechnics, do not overshadow your holiday!
