In the amount of more than 4.5 million tenge East Kazakhstan residents were encouraged

Since 2020, a new differentiated system for encouraging citizens who have reported corruption has been introduced.
Currently, for reporting a corruption offense for which the amount of a bribe or damage caused does not exceed 1000 MCI, the remuneration, depending on the severity of the crime, ranges from 30 to 100 MCI.
For reporting the fact of corruption with damage greater than 1000 MCI, the remuneration is 10 percent, but not more than 4000 MCI.For example, if the amount of a bribe or damage caused is 50 million tenge, then the person who reported the fact of corruption will receive 5 million tenge after the court verdict.
So, since the beginning of this year, 6 citizens have been encouraged in the East Kazakhstan region in the amount of more than 4.5 million tenge, who reported corruption facts to the regional Anti-Corruption service.
At the same time, the maximum amount of remuneration in the current year amounted to 4 million tenge, the minimum-138,900 tenge.
It should be noted that the encouragement of persons who have reported the facts of corruption, as well as otherwise assisting in this, is an effective mechanism for combating corruption. The protection of persons who have reported the fact of corruption is carried out in accordance with the norms of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Combating Corruption", while the person who reported such cases is not only encouraged with money, but is also protected by the state. Information about such a person is a state secret.
We urge the residents of the East Kazakhstan region to show an active civil position and, when faced with the facts of corruption, to report it by calling the Call Center at number 1424, or to the duty part of the Anti-Corruption Service of the East Kazakhstan Region at number 8 (7232) 29-88-88.
Only in this way, as a whole society, we will be able to eradicate this social problem.
