There are no equipped swimming places in the city of Ridder. To ensure the safety of citizens, the units of the Emergency Department of the East Kazakhstan Region conduct daily preventive raids near reservoirs.

The Office of Emergency Situations of the city of Ridder will inform that R. Tikhaya (the bridge below the dam of the 1st district), Ulba river (the area of the bridge on Ulbastroy; the area with. Ulbastroy, the area of the railway bridge ), the Bystrukha River (the area on Altayskaya and Fillipovskaya streets; the Harbor area, the bridge of Lesopilnaya Street; the area at the confluence of the Bystrukha and Zhuravikha rivers), the Sharavka River (the Graviemoika area) are prohibited places for swimming.

To date, 20 people have drowned in the East Kazakhstan region during the bathing season, 3 of them children. The city of Ridder also does not remain on the sidelines. Since the beginning of 2021, 2 people have drowned, which was caused by leaving a child unattended and not observing safety rules on the water, wading the river. The main causes of death of people on reservoirs are swimming in unequipped places, inability to swim, violation of safety rules when bathing, as well as due to leaving children near reservoirs without adult supervision.

 In this regard, I would like to draw the attention of citizens to compliance with the following safety rules on reservoirs. First of all, it is prohibited:

- enter the water and swim in a state of alcoholic and narcotic intoxication;

- jump into the water from berths, bridges, as well as structures that are not adapted for these purposes;

- dive in untested and unequipped places;

- swim on objects that are not intended for swimming;

- enter the water for children unaccompanied by adults.
