Swimming in the Ridder is dangerous!

 

The main causes of death in water bodies are swimming in unequipped places, inability to swim, violation of safety rules when swimming, as well as due to the abandonment of children near water bodies without adult supervision.

Since the beginning of the swimming season in 2020, 1 person has drowned in the reservoirs of Ridder, the reason for this was swimming in an unequipped place in a state of alcoholic intoxication. Also, since the beginning of 2021, 2 people have drowned.

Everyone should know the dangerous places and features of the reservoir near which it is located, since in unequipped places there may be flooded logs, pieces of iron, glass and other objects. At the same time, residents need to know that in the city of Ridder there are no places equipped for recreation and swimming near reservoirs. Repeatedly, the Department of Emergency Situations raised the issue of organizing a city beach and creating a rescue post. However, to date, the issue remains unresolved.

The schedule of preventive raids on weekends and holidays on unequipped places of reservoirs and places of mass recreation on the water during the swimming season of 2021 was developed and approved by the mayor of the city. The raids will continue until the end of the swimming season.
