Injuries at work
According to the Bureau of NationalStatistics of the AgencyforStrategicPlanningandReforms of the Republic of Kazakhstanfor the EastKazakhstanregion, 92accidentswereregistered in thecity of Ridderin2023.
At the same time, 2people were injuredingroupaccidents,78fromoccupationaldiseasesOf the totalnumber of victimsofaccidents, 2peoplereceivedminorinjuries,11severeinjuriesand1persondied.
The material consequences of accidents per victim amounted to 3,017.0 thousand tenge.
Methodological explanations
An industrial accident is the impact on an employee of a production factor in the performance of his labor (official) duties or tasks of an employer, as a result of which an injury, sudden deterioration in health or poisoning of an employee occurred, which led him to temporary or permanent disability, occupational disease, or death.
Occupational disease is a chronic or acute disease caused by exposure to harmful production factors on an employee in connection with the performance of their work (official) duties.
The material consequences of industrial accidents are determined by the amount of damage reimbursed to the injured employee, which is calculated as a percentage of his earnings in accordance with the degree of loss of his professional ability to work. To persons entitled to compensation in the event of the death of the breadwinner, the damage is compensated in the amount of the average monthly earnings of the breadwinner, minus the share attributable to himself and able-bodied persons who are dependent on him, but who are not entitled to compensation for damage.
